I have been playing car games for well over a decade (GT, Forza, PC, AC, etc) and always used the racing line but with most/all other assists turned OFF. One thing I would recommend that TOTALLY changed my enjoyment of this game is play longer races and drop the racing line. There are definitely some tracks and corners that are much much harder to accomplish with a controller (Suzuka, Silverstone, COTA, always have troubles on the esses) but it doesn't diminish the enjoyment for me. It's really hard to keep up in the wet but I read that's also true with a wheel in general. The AI in this game, for the most part, is incredible. I also started getting some pain in the trigger fingers after long stretches of playing. I developed the habit of consciously reminding myself to relax on straights haha This is so true! I find myself grabbing the controller SO tightly. Besides, he didn't explain his technique at all, anywhere. Anyone who asks him for help will get terrible advice. Your pal in this video posted this as a test balloon to see if anyone could tell that he was hacking. It's the trifecta of villainy: cheating, bullying, lying. They attack the person who outed them, then they lie to their friends and teammates. The one thing all cheaters have in common, no matter which game they play, is this: when they get called out for cheating, they always act like they just got caught cheating. Real people play games to have fun, not to gain fake points to prove their fake worth to fake people on the Internet. Get a sense of self worth that isn't tied to a leaderboard or an ELO / SR. Pushing buttons on a gamepad is not a talent, and the majority of popular streamers and "esports" players who are not on controlled and monitored hardware are cheating. That's so pathetic that making fun of you for it would be punching down. Playing a video game does not require anything resembling talent. If your pal in the video was good at this game, he wouldn't need to cheat. This is the most obvious grip hack I have ever seen.ĭon't start going on about who is and isn't good at the game. I came out of Reddit retirement to reply to this because someone sent me a link to it, and I hate cheaters. While I'm sure it's possible to break those real-world records in this game with a perfect setup and 100% perfect turn execution, your video only shows a cheaty level of grip and acceleration that isn't possible in this game. The fastest lap ever set in a race at Spa since the 2007 redesign was Valtteri Bottas in 2018, at 1:46:286. FYI the fastest unofficial lap ever recorded on Spa was Lewis Hamilton during Q3 2020, at 1:41:252 - and he violated track limits at least twice by F1 23 game standards, so it wouldn't have counted. If you have traction assist on, then you can't accelerate that fast if you don't have it on, you'll spin out with that level of throttle.ĮDIT2: aaaand after reading the abusive and paranoid responses to this - textbook cheater behavior - I'm 100% sure what's going on here. With a top speed setup (required for purple S1 / S3), you can't carry that kind of speed through the S2 turns without massive understeer, even with full assists.ĮDIT: watched it again, and there's something suspicious about that acceleration out of corners, too. Something isn't quite right with that level of grip. Please feel free to post anything that has to do with F1 Games, past or present.
